In the film “Black Swan,” directed by Darren Aronofsky, Natalie Portman stars as a ballerina in a ballet company of the Lincoln Center at NYC whose life is totally dedicated to dance.
The film came out a two weeks ago here in Sao Paulo.
Portman is so good as the first ballerina of “Swan Lake” who begins to lose her mind, that was indicated for the Oscar's best actress category. (above - some of the film's posters & below shoots of important scenes)

Amy Westcott (the film's costume designer) in collaboration with Rodarte -which has designed most of the costumes-, made a a pretty good job with the figurine, especially when showing ballerinas usual habits while dancing- like when Nina (Nathalie Portman) wears only one leg warmer at a time- and the way she starts to find her dark and sexy side.
Here are some palette representations of Nina's outfits
The film that made me fall in love with ballet again, turned my head upside down with all the possibilities of using other pieces for creating ballet-black-swan-film-inspired outfits.
Since I haven't found any pieces at home, I made a little search on the internet for a selection of clothes and acessories:
Strapless cocktail dresses by Karen Millen and J.Mendel
Repetto shoes
Scarf from Juicy Couture, ring for US$100 by Swarovski, Lip shape clutch by Lulu Guinness for Jades24, eyeliner US$25 by Barneys NY , necklace from white house black market skirt by Club Monaco.
Ribbon necklace, US$32 at Asos, Scarf by Oliver Bonas, Beret by Nordstrom, eyeliner from Barneys NY , Stila eyeshadow, Forever 21 pink Tu-Tu, Alexander McQueen clutch

So this is it guys. if you think I missed something let me know!
have a nice rest of the month!
xoxo, Vicky.
