Paper, pAper, papEr, papeR, PAPER! - I'm Back!!

Hey!! here I am!!! finally!!! first I would like to apologize for simply evaporating almost the hole year.
Remember when I told you that I had promised my mom I would only write on the blog if I had good grades in school and stuff like that? Well my grades this year... not so grate. I didn't study, and then had to battle  a lot to regain my grades, but now, here I am, waiting for the result that comes out Monday and restarting to write on my blog!!Missed it so much!!!

Well, i wrote this post in June and again, because of my grades in school , couldn't post it, it's about....... Paper crating!!!! another love of mine.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did while researching for it and also writing it:
I'm being to think that some of paper fashion are better than the real thing.
I always loved paper crafting. Not surprisingly, almost all the time when I go into a stationary, I start going "crazy" (I guess that's how I can explain how obsessed I get) and want to buy everything...

In April this year, my mom received a job to make "paper fashion" works to decorate a closet project in Casa Cor (the project I told I was helping her with). In order to know more about the subject, I started researching about it and found some really cool artists.

        Sculptures by Violise Lunn

Bellow a picture of sculpture of Géraldine Gonzalez

In paper fashion you can create all beautiful and insanely different kinds of style and keep it as a decoration or any other thing you'd like.
Of course not forgetting is extremely difficult to make paper clothing.

Unfortunately we are unable to wear them..... buaaa!(unless you are Lady Gaga)

Anyway, the shoes that can be made in paper fashion are some of the most amazing things ever!

See what I mean?

[the 4 first shoes are by Violise Lunn and the one bellow is by Géraldine Gonzalez]

The other kinds of paper fashion (like the sculptures I showed before) are as amazing as the shoes, however, my special love for shoes obviously made me fall especially for them... I guess that when you have such an addiction to something you can't get rid of your addiction that easily...hihihi
A fashion show that marked the history of fashion was the paper fashion show by Jum Nakao, which had a unexpected final...

There are also annual ADCD's paper fashion shows, where different designers create different styles and outfits, to help the local community's kids, their designs are judged and the best designs wins a contest.

Here's the picture of our paper fashion creations in Casa Cor. Unfortunately I don't have a better one...

We used only brown and white paper, with some strings and ribbons of the same colors.

It turned out to be a huge success and My mom was invited to make an instalation at the D&D trends event at D&D mall here in Sao Paulo...

Take a look at her space:

Isn't it great?
At this one I couldn't help her...Having to study for 11 tests in only 6 days get us crazy!

I hope my other love... Paper crafting had entertained and interested you!

Sorry for the exaggerated size of the post .... I will try to contain my enthusiasm the next time ... I also apologize for the delay, I am ashamed of how little I write to my blog...love...
Vicky
